Psychic Readings

Psychic Readings of those of Edgar Cayce and a few others are not like those of Channels and Mediums.  The information from the readings does not come from dis-embodied spirit sas does the information from Channels and Mediums.  Edgar Cayce "source" was what was called in the readings as the Uninversal Mind, the Collective Consciousnes or the Christ Consciousness.  Carl Jung called this the Collective Unconscious.  It is also referred to as accessing the Akashic Records, the Book of Life or God's Book of Remembrance.

Edgar Cayce stumbled onto this when he had himself hypnotized to find out why he had lost his hearing.  He soon found that he could himself into a self-induced hypnosis or trance and perform health readings on others at their request.  During many of the health readings the source would mention karmic influences for the ailments of the person seeking the reading.  This lead to requests for what is called life readings.  Life Readings would detail karmic influences from past lives that were affecting the current incarnation.  The Cayce source would only give information that would be useful for the person (or entity in the vanacular or the readings) in this current incarnation.
